Summary: The best band from Germany, EVER!!!

Review: A "cult" band that happens to be one of my faves. Alot may not know this, but this is the band that opened up for MAYHEM in Leipzig in 1990. I've heard that the EMINENZ demos are more like BATHORY, but this is a black/death style. It's VERY dark black/death, though, not the usual "technical" black/death shit. I haven't been able to get enough of this great cd since I recieved it through trading some time back. Vocals range from hellish screams to low growls, but no matter what they fit perfectly with the rest of the music. The music rarely exceeds a slow to mid-pace, and has a very dark atmosphere present at all times. The keyboard usage is excellent, as that for sure is one of the best points here. Just over an hour of outstanding black/death metal, best track is "Exorial" (over 12 minutes long). Also "Dark Millenium", "Demons Of The Black Abyss" and "Jesus Wept Nevermore" are great. I cannot urge anyone enough to buy this if they can find it, but good luck in your search as it's been out of print for quite some time now...

Update April 30, 2001: EMINENZ demos (the earlier ones anyway) aren't like BATHORY but are more like German thrash ala KREATOR, hope this didn't mislead anyone!!
