Summary: Sick, raw black metal from California(??)!!!

Review: This is another cd that I had to sit and listen to very closely before even considering giving it a review. COD plays VERY raw/hideous primitive black metal!!! The vocals are the best thing about this release!! They're completely sick and disgusting in all aspects!!! AAARRRGGGHHH!!! I must confess PERDITION's vocals are influenced by these quite a bit!! The only downfall is the drum machine, but I grew quite used to it. I really cannot compare the music to any other band, but I can hear some DARK THRONE and even Black Legions' influences (although this is much faster than any of those bands), but I think COD has their own sound for the most part. Most will hate this mcd's production, but I personally like the harshness of it. I do know this was limited to 1000 copies, so if you can find this then get it. But those who like well-produced stuff should avoid COD at all costs!!!
