The list of joke/parody bands can be viewed here.
This is an attempt to assemble discographical and, to
some degree, biographical information dealing with
American Black Metal (ABM / US BM) - specifically all
known bands, dead and active, under that banner. The
bands are listed alphabetically and their releases
chronologically, in accordance with time. This list
was conjured and researched/written by myself,
Xytraguptorh, with the help of a few individuals,
following in the format of The Heavy Metal List from
Hell, The Black Metal List, and other such lists that
exist (or have, at one point) on the World Wide Web.
This document is copyright 1999 - 2001, though that is
irrelevant as the information herein is free. The
list is not fully complete, and is in fact constantly
adorned with various revisions and updates. In the
event of possessing knowledge pertaining to any of
these bands or releases that has not yet been recorded
herein, please contact me, The Keeper, at once. The
same shall go for US BM groups that I have failed to
list here, and likewise to individuals who are in such
bands and wish to have their endeavors mentioned on
this list. My goal is to keep this listing as
comprehensive, up-to-date and informative as possible.
Any bit of information (specifically anything to fill
those dreaded '?' marks with) will be highly
appreciated, and you will be credited for your
contributions accordingly. I try to restrict myself
to listing stricly black metal bands, though I realize
there are a handful of black/death and black/grind
(and so on) inclusions. With this, I am open to any
suggestions and comments pertaining to that matter.
Should I include INCANTATION, for example? They play
crushing death, yet their message is clearly that of
the blasphemous side, and the original line-up of the
band did, in fact, include members of the cult act
PROFANATICA. Yet then, should I also include groups
such as ACHERON, INSATANITY, EQUINOX (FL), UNHOLY
DEATH or even DEICIDE? As mentioned, any comments are

for one to interpret the seemingly unintelligible mess
that makes up this list.

This is an attempt to assemble discographical and, to
some degree, biographical information dealing with
American Black Metal (ABM / US BM) - specifically all
known bands, dead and active, under that banner. The
bands are listed alphabetically and their releases
chronologically, in accordance with time. This list
was conjured and researched/written by myself,
Xytraguptorh, with the help of a few individuals,
following in the format of The Heavy Metal List from
Hell, The Black Metal List, and other such lists that
exist (or have, at one point) on the World Wide Web.
This document is copyright 1999 - 2001, though that is
irrelevant as the information herein is free. The
list is not fully complete, and is in fact constantly
adorned with various revisions and updates. In the
event of possessing knowledge pertaining to any of
these bands or releases that has not yet been recorded
herein, please contact me, The Keeper, at once. The
same shall go for US BM groups that I have failed to
list here, and likewise to individuals who are in such
bands and wish to have their endeavors mentioned on
this list. My goal is to keep this listing as
comprehensive, up-to-date and informative as possible.
Any bit of information (specifically anything to fill
those dreaded '?' marks with) will be highly
appreciated, and you will be credited for your
contributions accordingly. I try to restrict myself
to listing stricly black metal bands, though I realize
there are a handful of black/death and black/grind
(and so on) inclusions. With this, I am open to any
suggestions and comments pertaining to that matter.
Should I include INCANTATION, for example? They play
crushing death, yet their message is clearly that of
the blasphemous side, and the original line-up of the
band did, in fact, include members of the cult act
PROFANATICA. Yet then, should I also include groups
such as ACHERON, INSATANITY, EQUINOX (FL), UNHOLY
DEATH or even DEICIDE? As mentioned, any comments are
encouraged...
