Phase 1 - Knitting of Scarves

A few months ago I learned how to knit, which has kept me quite happy and has spurred an ambitious plan. I would like to make each of you a scarf. Why a scarf? Considering the number of you, it is the only project that I could conceivably complete. I also like the idea that everyone would have something the same, yet individual, from me.

I do need for you to choose and purchase (fairly inexpensive) the yarn you'd like. You can send it to me by snail mail or give it to me in person (I'll be in Atlanta sometime in December and again in May). The yarn needs to be one of the following brands and quantities: (Read labels carefully)

  1. Lion Brand Homespun 6 oz. (one skein)
  2. Lion Brand Chenille Thick and Quick 100 yds (one skein)
  3. Red Heart Light and Lofty 6 oz. (one skein)
Yarn can be found at Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, other craft stores, or online. Also, I have 17 family members in the military, who most likely can't get to a craft store from their international posts. Feel free to send a skein for them in a camouflage type color (dark green, olive, browns, navy, blacks,) - something that won't be a flag or target.
