Forward: There are several things to take into consideration before you read these FAs, and before you cast your vote. Above all I'd like to implore you to vote with your heart, not with your head in this most important of Contests. Here are a few reasons why: 1) Older characters simply weren't created with the same system used for characters today. We get a LOT more points now, plus upgrades, plus a more lenient Kit system. A straight powers comparison is almost always a wash or a victory for the new guy. Old and new fighters can't and shouldn't be compared along these terms. 2) Older characters have signficantly less "beef" for one very good reason: that was the standard back then. Also, powers were interpreted differently. Be careful before you assume that an HoFer doesn't make sense. They must've to some people, right? 3) In essence you're not only voting for "who would win this fight," you're voting for which character you want to represent the FPL (that includes you). The CoC champ is usually the first character sheet most newbies read when they're researching greatness. To paraphrase Q, in a way the CoC champ is like the FPL's ambassador to the masses. Choose wisely, and remember: these are cursory glimpses into a complex world through a shattered eyepiece. What goes on in your mind's eye is what truly matters. Besides, I suck at FAs. In any case, have fun! MrKite helps out with his take on the CoC Finals. Thanks for stopping by. Stella Aurorae vs Sphere The big showdown we've all been waiting for, Stella Aurorae vs. Sphere. A true battle of the titans. Let's take a look at the powers, first. Sphere is plasma, straight and simple. A highly powerful, world-bending power. He can bend and manipulate his form however he sees fit, and can rule over the cosmos with it. On top of that, he has an amazing mind, and a power to regenerate from attacks. A real powerhouse. Stella has an ultimate defense mentally as well, but this isn't a mental battle here, this is straight-up bash-out final-rpg-battle fighting, winner takes all. The great thing about Stella is, all she has to do is SAY what she wants to happen, and it is. So, the battle is essentially over control over the battle itself, Stella calling out commands with her god-given powers, and Sphere moving and bending, trying to attack Stella. Stella's acrobat power comes into play here, I see her dodging Sphere's attacks, as they come in from every side like a crazed squid swinging with it's tentacles. Though, there's one thing about the FPL I love. Powers don't always win. Sometimes it's just the wrting of the character that makes a character rock. And Sphere has that hands down. A truly amazing concept for Sphere, versus a fallen angel who has lived on earth for ages. I say Sphere is more imaginative in this field, and would pull in the win this way. So, it comes down to the basics. Are you a powers man? Or, are you a concept man? ...or woman as the case may be. After all is said and done, the ultimate battle is up to the reader, so choose wisely, the fate of Khazan rests on it! Previous FAs |
