People seem very angry nowadays in the FPL. Not a day seems to go by without someone lashing out in pent-up rage. And you know what? I feel like I'm to blame.

It all seemed to start when I posted my own rant on the boards. I was rather irked at the time with the general situation in the FPL, and the way I was treated by others in the FPL specifically. So I lashed out and vented. Felt good really. I got over it real quick after getting it all off of my chest. But that rant seemed to trigger something in other FPLers.

After my post, we seemed to have a greater number of such rants and ravings on the boards. Someone was pissed over this or that. Usually pretty minor and insignificant things if you ask me, at least compared to what I had ranted about. Here I was, almost three years with the FPL. I've done quite a lot for the site, and in return I had gotten little respect and a lot of accusations of being an elitist and whatnot. It got me rather pissed, and I felt I had a genuine reason to be angry. How would you like it if you had put all of your heart and soul into a project, just to have people bitch at you for updating a day late? I've devoted most of my free time the past three years to this site, doing my best to keep everyone happy, just to get treated like crap by people that don't give a damn. I had every right to vent. On the other hand, it seemed like everyone was jumping on the bandwagon of the bitchfest I started, over trivial and petty matters, and expounding upon them with the same sort of anger and devotion as I had with my own post.

Quite frankly, I really don't think they had any buisness doing so.

Say what you will of this opinion, but if I can go for three years without having an outburst, you can too. I'm not a very strong-willed person. I tend to cave in to pressure and such. If a wimp like me can tough it out for the sake of decency and cohesiveness, you can too. I held back from ranting about how I felt for a very long time. And now that I have, I feel like I let loose a monster onto the FPL. Has my action lead to the increased antagonism in the FPL? I'm starting to think so...
