Eric started as a jumps trainer after working
for Walter Wharton in Wetherby.
Eric's first jumps winner was Samanza at Cartmel 1980 and his first flat winner was Scrummage at Redcar in 1981. The photograph shows Eric as a 6 Stone apprentice on Troilus (GB). |
