i saw u were a christian and i thought that it was cool. its great to see a baseball player do it all for the Lord. i play baseball and i try to do my best at what God has given me. well i wont take any more of ur time. thanks

Thanks for the years of service to the Cardinals. I wish you would have been in better health. You truly could have been another MMantle. I wish you the best in Atlanta but feel you are still plagued by injury and will not achieve your true potential there either.

Hey JD,
I am your biggest fan!!! I didnt really like baseball until last year and when I saw you I about died because you were soooooooooooooooooo hot!!! You are one of my favorite players not just because of your looks but also how well you play the game!!! My aunt and my mom think im crazy because i have so many pictures of you and your all i talk about but i could care less! When i found out that you were married i was upset I am only 13 and i know i would never marry you but i was so mad!!! My Best Friend Courtney thinks your hot to and luvs your butt! She thinks im uppsesed with you(because i am) because i have a poster on my wall of you and i told her i printed out 14 pics of you!!!! I know most girls who write to you are obviously obsessed with

looks but that is not the case with me. I am a huge fan of baseball and

know a lot about this sport and mostly any sport but golf. That sport
confuses me!!!! Anyway I think your an awesome player with great

I am so proud to know that there is a famous person sharing their faith publicly. Thank you for giving back to the fans in such an awesome way. Your testimony is worship to God and it lets others know and remember just how great our God is.

Dear JD,
As a former Hahira and Lowndes High school attendee and Valdostan who
now lives in the Washington DC area - keep up the good swing, great
attitude and most of all - the faith you exhibit. As a Christian - I count
you as a role model for a life that exhibits and reveals hard work,
shows sacrifice and seeks dedication to the disciplines of God in all that
you do. You have helped reveal to me that God's grace is attainable in
my life if I put my faith (which lives in my heart) into practice in my
life. I can also see how important a Godly father and Christ centered
family are as revealed in the success of both your brothers as well. I
have struggled in the past with overcoming a dysfunctional family
background as well as alcoholism, and have sought God as well as Godly role
models. I would like to enter the ministry one day and will keep you in
prayer as I know that is your goal as well. Thankyou for witnessing the
importance of Jesus Christ to those who need him, thankyou for making

Hey!!
I think that me and my friend Danielle are you biggest fans. Last year we put tons of pictures of you adn Rick Ankiel in our lockers. All year...I have taken crap for still believing in Rick Ankiel...but I knew he could come back.. and tonight, I went crazy, when I found out that he was in the Stradium today. I was like Oh My ***!!!

guys at my school think the reason that your my favorite player is
because
your cute. Which yes you are but, you are one heck of a player for
being so
young. I also respect you for the way you praise God and Jesus Christ.

there are certain teams that I've grown up with and one of those teams

The odds of you actually reading this letter are very slim, but I had to give it a shot anyway. I have been a fan of yours since the first day you stepped out on the field for the Cardinals. I have to admit, the first thing about you that caught my eye was obviously your looks. However, after only a few short days, I realized the amazing talent that you have been blessed with. Over the past couple seasons, you have allowed your fans to learn more and more about you thorough your attitude during the game and the occasional time we can learn more about you through the press. To be completely honest with you, I have never been more impressed with another professional sports player than I am with you. I am a Christian, and in today's world, is not looked upon as being the "in" thing to do. Well, you know what. Who cares what everyone else thinks. I am so glad that God gave you the opportunity to come to St.Louis and play for the Cardinals. It is so awesome to be able to watch you express the amount of talent you have been given, and then to watch you turn around and give all of the credit back to God. I think it is awesome how you are able to share your faith and your beliefs with the thousands of fans you have acquired since coming to town. I also read about your True Love Waits committment. Well, I have to say that we have that in common also. I made that decision to remain pure a few years ago and I am proud to say that with God's help, I am 21 and have not broken that promise.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for being a role model that today's youth can look up to! I pray that God continues to use you in this area and blesses you with even more talent than He already has!!
