Jan. 9, 2005........................ Wednesday nights at Peri's in January 2005 have begun. Every wednesday this month there will be an Acoustic Showcase. This is a Don Gallardo & Darren Nelson Acoustic show. Darren and I did a string of 8 or so shows up to Seattle and back almost a year ago. Now we are hosting an Acoustic night where our fellow musician friends have been invited in advance and play either a short set of their own or with us. Last week was great with Danny Uzilevsky from Chrome Johnson & Monroe Grisman from American Drag sitting in. A sight to see was Darren, Danny, & Monroe all on acoustic guitars. Danny played all night doing a handful of songs. Tony Starelli sat in and played some Harmonica as well. We did a small set of FiTTS acoustic songs with Joey Midnight on guitar. THIS WEEK: Joey Midnight will be joining me on guitar as Darren is in New York & Massechusetts. The featured artists will be both of my brothers, Lon & JP Gallardo playing their own sets.
