Newport is a small, picturesque town within the Pembrokeshire National Park. This historical town is full of character and boasts many restaurants, cafes and pubs as well as a number of small shops including a well stocked delicatessen. Overlooking Bryncelyn Cottage is Carningli, “the Mount of Angels” which is the northernmost peak of the Preseli Mountains. The walk up to the top of the mountain is well worth the effort as from its summit on a clear day the mountains of Snowdonia can be seen. Newport is situated on the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coastal Path with its steep cliffs, mud flats and sandy beaches. The coastal cliffs abound with birdlife. Beneath the cliffs there are a number of inaccessible beaches were seals give birth to their pups in the autumn months. Bryncelyn is an ideal base for Birdwatching, Walking, Sailing, Canoeing, Mountain Biking or simply relaxing and enjoying the scenery and beautiful beaches.
