- The duo concerts in the
Netherlands took some fans by surprise: Brian Nelson in great
shape after 3 months of Highland air, GT Moore in an extremely
lively mood: hardly touched his acoustic or mandola but fired
in on electric guitar in his usual attention-grabbing way. Classy.
Some shouted "Yiehah", others "Vibrations yeah Positive": their
mixture of folk, rock, reggae, country and traditional is really
quite refreshing.
The Wildeman in Oirschot is a great
place. Mario liked the music and invited us all as guests to his
fantastic house. On the way back we visited Eindhoven. From then
on the car started to drive slower and slower. After dropping
GT off, Brian finally made it home on 4 wheels, one melted...
down to some
silver under-layer. I never saw anything like it before! Riding
with Lady Luck, I dare say..? (PS: That Antwerp ring was murder.)
- So Gie Geus got called
in (with stronger wheels) for the next gig,
"Op den Trimp" in Aalten being near the German
border. Willem and Yanni made us very welcome! (Nothing
like some good old Scottish salmon!) Nice place, nice people.
Go and visit them sometime!
- Spring 2002: the recordings
of a new CD are started in Ghent. Brian and G.T were not very
happy with the results and intend to go back to it later on in
the year.
- In June 2002 Brian recieved an unrefusable offer
to play a residency in The Shine Restaurant in the south of Turkey.
The weather, the food and other gigs being great, he didn't return
till September. G.T Moore being busy with his own projects for
the moment, combined with the total lack of management, the duo
gigs have ceased momentarily. Brian is now living on a boat, writing,
and stays contactable for concerts. 0472924974.
